Although under the overall control of CBO, CBFS has been set up as an autonomous college under Royal Decree No. (64/83).
CBFS functions under a dean, governed by a Board of Trustees chaired by Mr. Mohammed bin Mahfoudh Al Ardhi and Deputy Chairman from CBO, and comprising of members from government and banking institutions.
CBFS offers undergraduate, postgraduate and professional studies, together with and a variety of management development programs.
Courses offered are of high professional quality, with some accredited to reputed universities internationally. A major achievement of CBFS has been its pivotal role in the Omanization of the banking sector where over 92 % of jobs are held by Omani nationals.
