CBO Announces Auction Results of 64th GDB Issue
The Central Bank of Oman on Monday, 18th May, 2020 announced the auction results of the 64th Government Development Bonds (GDB) issue worth RO 200 million.
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span class="ms-rteThemeFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3">The Central Bank of Oman on Monday, 18<sup>th</sup> May, 2020 announced the auction results of the 64<sup>th</sup> Government Development Bonds (GDB) issue worth RO 200 million. </span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span class="ms-rteThemeFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3">According to a media release issued by CBO, the 64<sup>th</sup> GDB Issue received overwhelming response from investors. As against the Issue value of RO 200 million, the 64<sup>th</sup> GDB received subscription applications worth 266.917 million.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span class="ms-rteThemeFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3">The average yield was 5.36 percent at an equivalent price of RO 98.440, while the highest yield was 5.66 percent at an equivalent price of RO 97.160 and the lowest was at 4.75 percent at an equivalent price of RO 101.100. </span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span class="ms-rteThemeFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3">The 5-year Bond will be issued on Tuesday, 19<sup>th</sup> May 2020, and will mature on 19<sup>th</sup> May 2025, carrying a coupon rate of 5.00 % p.a.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span class="ms-rteThemeFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3"><a href="https://cbo.gov.om/Pages/GDB64.aspx">Auction Results of 64th GDB Issue</a></span></p>
