What is it?

It is a national payment card (local bank card) in the Sultanate of Oman, supervised by the Central Bank of Oman and issued by banks and payment service providers licensed to operate in the Sultanate of Oman.

It provides its holders with secure and seamless transactions through an integrated national system for issuing, processing and settling card payment transactions.

The card was developed as part of the strategic objectives and efforts to enhance the national payments infrastructure and develop digital payment systems to support the innovation and digital transformation process in the Sultanate of Oman.

  • All point-of-sale (POS) terminals.
  • ATMs of all local banks.
  • Government services that support electronic payments.
  • Omani online stores and local applications.
  • The card will be accepted across GCC States via GCCNet.

  • Contact and contactless payments via points of sale (POS).

  • ATM operations.

  • Online payments for e-commerce transactions.

  • Card encoding to enable payments via digital wallets and smart payment methods.

Please note that the issuance of cards, their associated financial services and acceptance locations will be announced in several phases. The Central Bank of Oman will announce these phases along with the rest of the banks across the sector.

How can you protect your data?

  • Do not share your PIN
    or card information
    with anyone.

  • Ensure the notification
    feature is enabled in
    the bank's app.

  • Ensure using your card only
    on trusted devices and
    secure and reliable websites.

  • Report a lost or stolen
    card immediately.

  • Check your account
    statement regularly.
